Valle Chiusella to Mont Avic

6 days

Starting from the pre-alps this beautiful walk takes you through spruce forests, across wildflower meadows and over mountain cols. The journey ends amongst the lakes and high rocky plateau of Mont Avic Natural Park, which has a rare and endemic flora thanks to the abundance of water in the upper part of its basin and the underlying geology. There is also an abundance of unusual fauna, such as nutcrackers, woodpeckers, bearded vultures, golden eagles and rare dragon flies.
