Tour of Gran Paradiso

7 days – level 4

This is a demanding and spectacular walk around the beautiful mountain of Gran Paradiso (4061m), which gives its name to the National Park. You will cross high cols and glaciers as you journey from hut to hut in some of the most remote and dramatic areas of the park, where you will be able to spot golden eagles soaring above and edelweiss if you look carefully underfoot. Some sections require the use of crampons and axes; prior experience is not necessary.
