Valle d’Aosta is in the western Italian Alps bordering France and Switzerland.

It is surrounded by 4000m peaks and is well known for the abundance of its wildlife and rugged terrain. The mountains and valleys here have a great deal to offer the avid walker.

All of our walking tours are with UIAGM mountain guides, so you couldn’t be in better hands.

Dense pine forests and powerful torrents characterise the valley floors. Travelling upwards, a diverse range flora and fauna including marmots, ibex, chamois, golden eagles and many wildflowers, give way to a more dramatic and rocky alpine environment above 2500m.

As you rise, breathtaking views of snow covered peaks and their glaciers open up around you, including those of Monte Bianco, Gran Paradiso, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.
